Trip For You
This trip is graded Activity Level 2 (Easy & Moderate). For more information on our trip gradings, visit the Activity Level Guidelines page.
Suitability: Though this trip has been designed for nine to 12-year-olds, it’s also suitable for 13 to 16-year-olds. Our Family trips are aimed at children in the primary age group, so if your child is in the secondary age group, they may find it a little easier. Our goal is to have similarly aged children on each departure, which allows the tour leader to better adapt the trip as required. If you have any queries about the difficulty of the trip, please contact us.
Itinerary: This adventure aims to show you the best parts of the Amalfi Coast using a mixture of private buses, boats and sightseeing on foot. Though there is no strenuous physical activity involved, some days will be busy and in summer the heat and humidity can be tiring.
Journeys: Travel time is kept to a minimum (maximum two hours on the bus per day) and the private vehicles used are comfortable and have air conditioning. On most days, you are back at the hotel at the end of the afternoon, with a couple of free hours before dinner to rest or enjoy the hotel pool. There is also one free day and leisure time at the beach included. Please be prepared for some drives on winding coastal roads. In unexpected weather conditions, the boat journeys may be replaced with minibuses.
Hiking: There are two hikes included. During the Mount Vesuvius visit, the vehicle takes you to an altitude of approximately 3,280ft (1,000m); from there to the crater, you need to ascend on a path which is approximately 490ft (150m) long and quite steep in places. Along the Path of the Gods, we walk on a marked path; however, the terrain can be rocky or uneven at times and there are parts that are a little exposed, therefore not suitable for severe vertigo sufferers. This hike usually takes around 90 minutes.
Kayaking: The kayaking excursion lasts approximately four hours including stops. Each minor should be accompanied by one adult in a double kayak. No previous experience is necessary, but participants must be able to swim. Kayaking is normally only possible between May and September. In the event of rough sea conditions, the activity will not take place. In this case, your guide will arrange an alternative trip to the island of Capri or the coastal town of Sorrento.
Accommodation: There is high demand for our Amalfi tours. As such, it’s likely there will be more than one of our groups at the hotel; it is also open to guests outside our groups. Our tour leaders are used to this and any additional groups are either on a different tour or follow an alternative itinerary. This includes the same excursions but taken in a different order.
Local tourism: During the high season, usually May to September, popular towns along the Amalfi coast such as Positano, Amalfi itself and the island of Capri, can be quite busy.
Group Description
The tour leader accompanies the group on all programmed activities, but due to Italian legislation is not allowed to guide groups around Pompeii and Vesuvius (local guides are available for hire). The tour leader will not always accompany the group on activities undertaken on the free day, but will offer advice and help with the arrangements of transfers and activities.
Eating Drinking
All breakfasts, four packed lunches, one regional lunch and five dinners are included.
Breakfast is continental style with a choice of cereals, bread, eggs, ham, cheese, fruits, pastries, yoghurt, orange juice and milk, plus an array of teas/coffee.
Included packed lunches usually consist of a sandwich filled with a choice of cold meats, tuna, or local cheeses.
All evening meals are taken in the hotel, where the standard is excellent and the chef takes great pride in showcasing the best of regional foods, including dishes such as scialatielli all’amalfitana (homemade pasta with seafood) and branzino all’acqua pazza (sea bass in crazy water). Dinners usually consist of four courses, commencing with antipasti, followed by soup and/or pasta, a main meat dish with salad or vegetables, and dessert.
On certain evenings, there is the opportunity to learn how to make Neapolitan pizza. Please note, drinks are not included with meals but available to purchase.
Several dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free, are also well catered for. Please advise us of any dietary requirement on booking.
Transportation
All transfers will be in a private vehicle (normally a mini-coach) and on some days we use boats.

Weather Information
Southern Italy, in common with a lot of the Mediterranean, possesses a hot, dry climate in summer, with cooler but slightly damper spring and autumn periods, and at coastal levels mild, damp winters. Rainfall is expected in winter months with an average of one day in three affected. It is particularly important to note the high temperatures during summer, which can often reach 35C (95F) by the coast. Unseasonable cold spells are possible at any time of year, during which you will need warm clothes, especially in the hills up in Bomerano where evening temperatures can be lower than expected. It is important to be equipped for cooler weather in early spring, late autumn and winter.
Spending Money
For lunch on your free day, you should budget between €15-€25, depending on whether you choose a set menu in a cafe or restaurant. Approximately €30-40 should be enough for an evening meal including drinks.
Local taxes: Many Italian cities have introduced a tourist tax for non-residents. The local administration oversees the tax, which will be collected by the accommodation provider at check-in or check-out. This fee varies depending on the hotel category, the season and number of days of stay. It is usually between €0.50 and €1.50 per person per night. For this trip, please allow between €5 and €10, depending on the season, for the week. Children and people aged 75 or over are exempt from this tax.
Optional activities:
— Boat tour around Capri’s grottos: €25 — In Capri, the leader may recommend using private taxis to move around the often-overcrowded island. For this optional service and the cable car, please allow approximately €35 per person — Regional lunch: €20 — Barbecue dinner: €35
Tipping
Although optional, a tip for the leader at the end of the trip is greatly appreciated. As a guideline, we recommend a contribution of €15-€20 per adult per leader. Groups normally like to show their appreciation for hotel staff by leaving a tip at the end of their stay. We recommend a contribution of approximately €10 per adult for the local staff at the hotel. It is also customary to tip private bus drivers (please allow approximately €10 per family for the week).

Itinerary
This trip starts in the village of Bomerano, on the Agerola plains above the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy a warm welcome from our local hosts, the Acampora family, before settling in. Please note: It is possible the order of the itinerary will be changed to ensure the best possible conditions for each activity during the trip. All listed activities and services will be included. Your leader will inform you of any changes locally after assessing conditions. If you wish to tailor your journey by adding extra nights, speak with your sales representative for detailed information on available pre-tour, post-tour and extension packages.
After a 30-minute private transfer to Amalfi, we take the boat along the coast to Positano, a near vertical town of colourful buildings reached by a network of ancient paths and tracks. On the journey, we enjoy classic views of the Amalfi Coast. In Positano, we explore this picturesque town, strolling among the winding streets. There is time to visit the beautiful cathedral, swim in the sea or shop in the boutiques. We also enjoy an optional lunch in a pizzeria and a refreshing Italian gelato before returning in the late afternoon to Bomerano by boat and minibus.
We descend from the Agerola hills and head to the famous volcano that looms over Naples, Mount Vesuvius. The vehicle takes you to an altitude of approximately 3,280ft (1,000m) and from there to the crater we need to ascend on a path, which is approximately 490ft (150m) long and quite steep in places. A local guide then takes us on a short walk along the crater rim, explaining the fascinating history of Vesuvius. During adverse weather conditions, such as fog, storms or heavy rain, the local authorities may decide to restrict or prevent access to Vesuvius. If this occurs, we take you to Herculaneum to visit the perfectly preserved remains and virtual museum, which give an amazing insight into the life of an ancient Roman city. Transfer to Pompeii in the afternoon, a thriving port town until the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius spanning two days in 79 CE, during which the city was buried in ash and pumice. Lost for 1,700 years, Pompeii is now a World Heritage site as the perfectly preserved remains give us an amazing insight into life in a Roman city, complete with bathhouses, bakeries and homes – some of which still have walls adorned with detailed frescoes. You may take time to explore the site independently, but we recommend opting for a detailed tour accompanied by a local guide, which can be hired locally for approximately €10 per person depending on the group size. We return to the hotel by bus in the late afternoon.
This morning, we take a short walk to visit a cheese factory in Agerola, where we can sample freshly made mozzarella, prepared in front of us following a centuries-old recipe. We then depart for Amalfi, which was popular with the British upper classes in Edwardian times. The large duomo (cathedral) dominates the town with brightly coloured tiles so typical of the region. We have a few hours to explore the historic centre and alleys before touring the Paper Museum, which celebrates the long-established paper-making tradition in Amalfi. The guide explains how Amalfi paper was once made and you can experiment yourself, using ancient paper-making machines. We then head back to the hotel for a pizza-making class before dinner.
Today is free to relax by the hotel pool or at one of the local beaches. Alternatively, opt to take a day trip to Capri and explore the island on foot, by boat and chairlift. Another option is to spend the day in Ravello, a peaceful town high on the cliffs above Amalfi, famous for its gardens and impressive cathedral. Your tour leader will not always join these optional activities but will help you to arrange transport locally.
The Amalfi Coast is also renowned for colourful ceramics and this morning we visit a local artisan’s bottega, where the kids can paint a pottery souvenir. Later, we hike a short section of the Path of the Gods, one of the finest coastal trails in the world. The route follows the contours of the land with amazing views of the coastline far below. The terrain can be rocky or uneven at times and there are parts that are a little exposed and therefore not suitable for severe vertigo sufferers. After the walk, we return to the hotel on foot, where we have lunch by the pool (included, weather permitted).
After a scenic 30-minute ride down to Amalfi, we enjoy a half-day kayak along the Amalfi Coast. This is the perfect finale for the trip as it allows us to explore the coastline from a spectacular angle. After a short introductory lesson on how to kayak and safety at sea, we set off towards the Marmorata waterfall, led by an experienced local guide. The route takes us along the finest Amalfi beaches, under natural rock arches and into sea caves, giving us the opportunity to admire the old watch towers that dot the entire length of this coast. Those not wishing to participate can wait for the rest of the group at the lovely beach where the activity starts. Kayaking is normally possible only between May and September. At other times of the year, or in the event of bad weather and rough sea conditions, your tour leader arranges an alternative activity such as a memorable day trip to Sorrento or Capri. We return to the hotel in the evening and enjoy a delicious farewell group dinner.
The adventure ends after breakfast. Say a fond farewell to the hotel, which may feel a bit like a second home by now, and begin our return journey home.

Pompei and Amalfi Coast A great trip well organised. On the family trip, but with a teenager she was a little board. Very suitable for young children. Felt the walk was too short for adults around Vesuvius crater, so that was disappointing. Capri was spectacular, but again the tour around the island was very short, so you felt you didn’t full see the caves. Most Inspirational Moment Pompei was sensational. So was Capri Thoughts on Group Leader I thought he was superb for adults, but not necessarily for kids. Very helpful and sociable Advice for Potential Travellers Check carefully. Not a lot for teenagers. I chose the trip specifically for that reason, but nothing for them to do. The adult trip, walking, seem to have a more adventurous trip. This family trip is for younger children, my daughter, age 14, didn't enjoy it much. Make sure there are lots of other travellers the same age, otherwise they will be bored in the evenings, nothing to do in the village

Fantastic family experience I can’t fault this trip. An excellent balance of guided tours and beach time/down time. I have to say that our guide Eduardo was a gem. Exodus are extremely fortunate to have him working for them. He is a gold mine of knowledge, full of conversation and great with the kids. I am sure that our experience and access to places you would never be able to reach are down to him. The pizza making was brilliant and the kids even joined the chef to cook our dinner one night! Thank you Exodus but more so thank you Eduardo. Most Inspirational Moment Lunch in an old farmhouse on the walk of the Gods. Only accessible by foot or mule. Good food, good wine, good company... All overlooking Positano and the turquoise sea from 700metres! Thoughts on Group Leader Amazing. He made the trip. Suggestions No.

Amalfi Coast: Pompeii and Pizza Trying to entertain an energetic 11 year old and their mum is no easy task but this holiday did exactly that! A perfect blend of culture and activity along with an experienced tour guide on what level of information to give, what pace to go and keep the interest of all ages. We loved it! Molto Beno Most Inspirational Moment Climbing Mount Vesuvius Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo was just great. You can tell he is very experienced and really made the holiday! Advice for Potential Travellers Its always a little cooler on climbing the mountains so make sure that you pack a jumper/coat for that day! Suggestions The only thing that I would add is that ideally it would be great if the coffee machine was one for when you got back from day trips!

Perfect pizza, heavenly Herculaneum Brilliant planning meant that every day kept the kids occupied, entertained and interested. We loved Herculaneum, Pompeii and all the little towns. The walk of the gods was one of my favorite bits, which was a surprise to me. The scenery and lunch that day was phenomenal! The hotel was lovely – small clean and friendly. Excellent food and the kids loved the pool. Well worth the money. Most Inspirational Moment Seeing Herculaneum was great - we wandered around looking at the street signs etc. The skeletons were very moving. We hired a pedaling and the kids all got to swim 'in the deep sea' which was very exciting for them. Thoughts on Group Leader Group leader was excellent- knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. Felt like a good friend by the end of the trip. Advice for Potential Travellers Take a hat and sunglasses and refillable water bottle. Pompeii doesn't let large bags in so take a small bag for your sandwiches etc Suggestions Great trip, would like to do the walking tour!

October on the Amalfi coast This was our first trip with Exodus and it didn’t disappoint, the Amalfi coast was stunning and our guide Paul together with the staff at 2 Torres were fantastic. Our son 7 loved the whole experience. Most Inspirational Moment The best part for all of us was the walk of the gods, we loved the views and the lunch provided in the small rustic building was really great. Our son loved playing with the other children on as he put it getting up to mischief! Thoughts on Group Leader Our group leader Paul was really helpful and all the kids loved talking with him and asking about the different places. He was very flexible in arranging things to do on the free day and made time to talk with all members of the party.

amalfi coast pompeii and pizza Amazing, brilliant holiday-certainly one of the best we’ve enjoyed. Great experiences and company in well run family hotel . Most Inspirational Moment The walk of the Gods. Looking down on beautiful Amalfi coast. " Ancient mule tracks wind through lemon groves and gorges. Truly the path of the Gods. " Thoughts on Group Leader Our leader, Eduardo, was key to the success of our holiday. He was a superb organiser, remarkably good at interesting and amusing children and keeping everyone involved and happy. We cannot praise him enough. Advice for Potential Travellers No- just book the holiday! Suggestions Please will you create more family holidays.

Amalfi Coast Pompeii Pizza The hotel was in the perfect location for exploring the Amalfi Coast, the hotel was modern and clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, fresh and locally produced. Most Inspirational Moment Going up the chair lift on the isle of Capri to see the views from the top. The visit to Pompeii was amazing and the walk with the gods had breathtaking views. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo was excellent, he made the holiday wonderful. He organised everything really well and catered for everyone's needs. I was able to completely unwind and relax as he took care of everything. We managed to see so much which we would have not been able to do on our own. He took us to see the most amazing views, this will certainly be a holiday to remember. Advice for Potential Travellers Be prepared for lots of walking, but so worth it when you get there. Suggestions We would definitely come back, loved this holiday.

Amalfi Coast-Leisurely to Moderate The scenery was breathtaking. The group leader was excellent. The group was beyond compare. The trip rating was not what I expected. Most Inspirational Moment I informed Suzi that I was unable to keep up with the group and would make my own plans. She made a new plan for my vacation and had me meet with the group at every opportunity in a manner that allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation. She was encouraging, enthusiastic and took each traveller under her wing. This vacation was on my partner's bucket list and he got to fulfill his plan and we got to enjoy that together. Thoughts on Group Leader Suzi was upbeat, knowledgeable on so many levels, truly able to meet changes of plans with enthusiasm and bubbling over with love for the area, its people and history. . Advice for Potential Travellers Truly understand the rating of the trip. Bring your camera and enjoy the beauty, the people and their history from the beginning of time to the present moment. Suggestions We were a bit surprised to be asked to pay 20 Euros each to be taken to the airport when the brochure said that transfers to the airport were included. We booked our travel times to coincide with the times outlined in the trip notes but the main groups travel time changed.

La Dolce Vita This has been one of our best family holidays ever. The itinerary is perfectly balanced and accommodated all levels very well. Eduardo is a faultless guide and manages to blend the group together well. He is particularly adept at bringing the children out of themselves. The hotel in Bomerano is small enough to have a family friendly feel an yet has everything you could ask for. They go the extra mile with the children’s cooking nights. We extended our stay with a few days in Sorrento and a night in Naples which was well worth it and enabled us to consolidate our appreciation of the region. Most Inspirational Moment It is hard to pick off a highlight but the walk of the Gods was especially magic and Pompeii was memorable. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo sets the right tone. All of the families were great and you could envisage being friends with them if they lived closer. However, I think Eduardo manages the ice breaking very well so that people mixed from the outset. Advice for Potential Travellers Extending our stay for a few days worked for us and is worth considering as the week will fly by. The crossing to Capri is 1 hour 20 minutes and quite a few people were sick. It was fine on the return journey as we all managed to get seats in the open air section. This made all the difference so if you are prone, make sure you are seated in the fresh air.

Beautiful location in local Italian village with easy access to site seeing . Most Inspirational Moment Edwardo! Every day had it's highs. Loved Pompeii and Vesuvius all in one day. Perfect family holiday A fantastic family holiday, with a full, well thought through itinerary that was great for both the kids and the parents. The hotel location is perfect and the extra breeze on the top of the mountains is ideal for keeping a bit cooler in the evenings. Good food, and a great group of families. Most Inspirational Moment The surprise lunch location on one of the days (I won't spoil it for others!). The kids cooking evenings with the chefs were especially entertaining. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo was a brilliant leader who organised everything to perfection and had the children eating out of the palm of his hand and hanging on his every word. His enthusiasm and local knowledge meant we all could relax and enjoy the activities, which were all well planned and well paced. The ideal group leader, in fact! Advice for Potential Travellers The trip notes covered all we needed to know. Suggestions We will certainly be looking a further holidays with Exodus in future years.

Amalfi Pompei & Pizza A lovely holiday. A week of sunshine in late October. Great views, great food, fantastic historical and cultural sites. Most Inspirational Moment Climbing to the summit of Mt. Vesuvius. Whilst a simple climb for many, I am visually impaired, so this was a great challenge for me. Our Leader, Suzie, was very supportive, knowing when to offer assistance and when to retreat. Fantastic views from the crater edge and what a buzz for the achievement. Thoughts on Group Leader Suzie was informative, approachable and clearly loved the area she was guiding us through. Advice for Potential Travellers A good pair of boots for Mt. Vesuvius and The Walk of the Gods. Suggestions Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff, great food.

Amalfi coast with the kids We took our two children, age 5 and 6, to Italy for the first time. In his words, my son Ben’s verdict was ‘Wowzers!. Most Inspirational Moment My 6 year old daughter was over the moon to climb around the crater of Vesuvius and feel the hot steam coming from the rocks. She's still talking about it at schoolo now and it's inspired her to draw pictures, write stories, play games, build Roman ruins from lego....it obviously made a huge impression. Thoughts on Group Leader Can't fault her - really enthusiastic, organised and pre-empted all of our needs fantastically. Advice for Potential Travellers Our son Ben (5) needed a piggy back on the Walk of the Gods. I would conserve their energy on the active days so they don't get too tired before the adventure starts. Suggestions Great holiday - can't wait to do another one.

Amalfi Family Adventure An excellent trip that was very well organised and gave us opportunity to experience many of the key places of interest in the region. Most Inspirational Moment Lunch on the Walk of the Gods at an old rustic farmhouse that we had to ourselves. A fabulous setting with outstanding food and drink. Very peaceful away from the hoards. The coastline is beautiful and its not hard to see why its so popular. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo was excellent, kept us organised, passed on local knowledge, made all arrangements as necessary and was good with the kids. He made the holiday much easier and more enjoyable than if we had tried to organise this all on our own. Advice for Potential Travellers The weather was very hot. This was expected though be sure to bring enough sunscreen and the right clothing to cater for this. Some of the places we visited are very popular so ferries/streets can be very busy. The hotel staff were excellent and catered even for the most fussy of eaters (including chip pizza!). Suggestions A very good trip made easy by excellent organisation and a very good leader. Would thoroughly recommend it.

AMALFI COAST: POMPEII & PIZZA - FAMILY HOLIDAY A fantastic trip with something for all ages and a great mix of activities, culture, and history with time to relax on the beach and by the hotel pool and some excellent freshly cooked food too. We thoroughly recommend this trip for all ages! Most Inspirational Moment There was so much variety on this trip so it is difficult to highlight just one moment. However, it was fabulous to see the guides bringing the historic sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum to life for the children and at the end of one day to watch the children put together their own song for the guides and hotel staff in which they summarised their trip highlights and interspersed this with historical facts they had learnt on the trip - it was priceless watching the children perform their song at our lunch stop on the Walk of the Gods! Then there were the cookery lessons for the childen at the hotel - the children just got "stuck in" and loved helping to prepare the evening meal. Thoughts on Group Leader We had more than one group leader during the week and each was superb - SO heplful, friendly and knowledgeable - hats off to Frank for stepping in at short notice and really getting stuck in!! Advice for Potential Travellers Just book the trip and enjoy - you will not be disappointed! However, do factor in the additional cost of some activities such as the visit to Herculaneum (which we all agreed was a "must do" activity but not cheap), the boat trip around Capri and the visit to the Blue Grotto - these can add up but were worth the money. Pack for all weathers! We travelled in October half term and ended up in shorts every day - the jumpers and umbrella never saw the light of day, though a fleece in the evenings when it got cooler was useful. Suggestions The hotel staff were superb and so welcoming - nothing was to much trouble for them.

AMALFI COAST: POMPEII & PIZZA - FAMILY HOLIDAY This is a great introduction to small-group holidays with lots of elements sure to appeal to families. There was time to swim on most of the days either at the hotel pool or at a beach and this was popular with the children in the group I joined. Most Inspirational Moment My family loved the section of 'The Walk of the Gods' and the lunch that day. The views were fantastic and the lunch was lovely. The water-taxi trips gave us great views of the coastline and a chance to appreciate its beauty while avoiding the twists and turns on the roads. One of the highlights for my son was making his own pizza in the hotel and he talks about it often now we're back home. Thoughts on Group Leader Our group leader Eduardo was born in the area and knows it and the people well. He likes people and is happy to take suggestions for changes to the finer details. The trip included some opportunities you'd need local links for eg to see local people at their work making cheese. Advice for Potential Travellers The younger children seemed to struggle with the late dinners and/or late nights. Some were very fractious as the day went on. The hotel dinners started at 8pm so families might like to know this before they book. Suggestions I would recommend this holiday to famillies because it has lots of great, fun activities. The hotel rooms were basic but adequate. The hotel staff were great and the food was very good. However, I'd only recommend this holiday to families with younger children if they can cope with long days.

AMALFI COAST: POMPEII & PIZZA - FAMILY HOLIDAY Billed as a holiday for families with teenage children this sounded perfect. And it was, in fact all our expectations were exceeded. The billed trips e.g. to Pompei, the ‘Walk of the Gods’, Vesuvius to name but a few, were well orchestrated and fun, but Eduardo the local guide and host put on some real fun extras, and the hotel staff were great. Making pizza may not sound a lot of fun, but it was for the kids while the adults looked on laughing and drinking the excellent local wine (all you can drink for Euros5). Highly recommend this brilliant holiday for that tricky age group the teenager. Most Inspirational Moment We enjoyed Pompei and the guide was amusing and informative. The grown ups loved the (unscheduled) trip to Romello and we were lucky that we arrived at the resort the evening of a wonderful local festival. You should go to that if you have a chance even if you feel knackered from just arriving. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo Palermo knew EVERYONE. Local but world travelled he had a story for every occasion and laid on extras as he saw fit (like stoppoing off at a limoncello maker that he knew and was open as we walked by). Worked very hard, even on his supposed day off and made the trip great Advice for Potential Travellers We were lucky with the weather but I gather it can get very hot, so watch that. Suggestions Eduardo has adapted this programme over the years and this sounds a bit feeble but I don't think we would change or add anything

AMALFI COAST: POMPEII & PIZZA - FAMILY HOLIDAY This was a great family holiday. The hotel was family run and extremely friendly with great food. Our tour guide Eduardo was excellent and went the extra mile to make sure we all had a good holiday. The scenery in this area was amazing and there were plenty of activities to keep everyone happy. We travelled with our daughter alone this year and the teenage departure meant she was extremely happy with friends of a similar age. Most Inspirational Moment Walking along the "walk of the gods"with the stunning scenery. The kid's cooking evenings Thoughts on Group Leader He was extremely knowledgable and always went a little extra for us all. He could strike a deal on anything! He was good fun and spoke extremely good English. Advice for Potential Travellers In July/August the area is extremely hot so be prepared. I would imagine that this holiday would be suitable for all ages of children.

AMALFI COAST: POMPEII & PIZZA - FAMILY HOLIDAY This is the perfect family holiday – great Italian food, perfect weather, friendly family-run hotel and fun days full of activities. It’s also a short flight down to Napoli and and easy one hour transfer to the hotel for the week. Most Inspirational Moment I think the best part of the holiday is the interaction with the family that run the 2Torri Hotel - Nicola, Giovanni and the leader Eduardo. The kids loved pizza-making, past-making etc in teh hotel kitchen. The leader also arranged trips to a craft-making shop and also a local mozzarella-making farm. These were all little extras that you wouldn't normally get if you organised the holiday yourself. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo is the star of the holiday. He knows everyone on the Amalfi coast and can fix any problem. The kids loved Eduardo and he is a genuine people person. He even joined in the football match with the kids - so we had an Italian in the team! Advice for Potential Travellers I would say this is a very relaxing holiday and the kids will love the pool at the hotel, whenever there is some down town. Don't worry, you can relax in the sun and keep an eye on them at the same time.Take note that this is an expensive place for tourists and the Exodus holiday includes most essentials. However, if you do decide to go eat in the cafe or restaurants in Capri or Positano then expect London prices or more. However, we full-board on most days so just have a budget for ice-creams and a few extra snacks! Suggestions There is a reason why this is such a popular holiday - it really covers all the bases for an active holiday. It's also great to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the coast as Bomerano is a lovely friendly village, with local shops and ice-cream parlours. During the hot summer it's also cooler up in the hills. It's also great that most of the travel up and down the coast is by relaxing ferries, from Amalfi to Capri, Positano etc. Last but not least, do you know any kids that don't like pasta, pizza and ice cream! If the kids are happy, you'll be happy!

AMALFI COAST: POMPEII & PIZZA - FAMILY HOLIDAY All of the difficult parts of family holidays have been taken care of in this trip. There was no debating about what to do tomorrow or trying to find something special, everything was special and the itinerary made sure there was not too long to fill with your own activities! I also had grown-up time with company in the evening which was lovely. Most Inspirational Moment The complete silence for an hour that fell over 4 boys and a girl during the ceramic painting session. From boisterous boys (and girly) to concentrated artists in the space of 5 minutes. Thoughts on Group Leader Eduardo was a star throughout our entire trip. He was like your favourite Grandad and the Pied Piper all in one. The children loved him and when naughtiness or tears appeared Eduardo was there before we could put our glass of wine down to sort them out. Advice for Potential Travellers Lots of snacks for the children as it is busy days with not much time for stopping. Don't expect time for coffee shops and retail therapy, Eduardo wants to show you as much of his beloved Amalfi Coast as he can in a week. Suggestions One of our best holidays and will be looking for something similar in the future. The children must have enjoyed it as we caught them with the brochure planning their next holiday together.

The walk of the Gods was fantastic too. Thoughts on Group Leader Excellent Advice for Potential Travellers Travel sickness pills/bands for boats and windy roads.
