Wonderful tour director & driver - so caring & passionate about their job! Always smiling & nothing was ever too much trouble! Great itinerary - so much history in these places & the old buildings are so spectacular! Could have stayed so much longer in each place! Just a couple of long days on the road - but that’s the norm for doing such a trip!

We saw amazing and somber places. The countries and cities we stayed in were amazing. This was not a relaxing trip, we knew this before we went. We went to see many historical sites, the countries and their traditions and culture. The food in each place we visited was fantastic. We enjoyed this trip very much. It had been on my bucket list for a few years.

Alex Tkachuk was a wonderful representative for Insight and the ever faithful Jimmy never left us looking for a ride! Alex has a knowledge of European history that staggered me. He led the tour without having to say he was in charge. Pretty full if you do all the optionals; might want to recommend some relax time

The tour director, Alex Tkachuk, was exceptional in his knowledge of European history and people skills. Driver Jimmy was ultra reliable. Along with the optional experiences it is a very full trip, not much time for relaxing, except on the travel days.

Couldn’t fault a thing. Seamless transfers between stops and an intelligent guide and driver who did their utmost for the comfort and enjoyment of all. A carefully chosen trip, well guided and taking in the highlights of Eastern Europe for an optimum experience. It was everything we had hoped for and left us satisfied with many memories to remember and share. The local dinners and folk lore were an added bonus.

Our tour Guide was a walking history major of the countries visited! This knowledge was extremely helpful when entering a new country, what to expect, and allowing for an easy and smooth entry into a city, hotels and getting around the area. This itinerary gives a snapshot of each country visited, cities of importance, as well as quaint little towns-villages with their own charm! It’s also an opportunity to interact with locals and hear their stories about their village and their family histories. The local guides also give their perspective on the history of the area and it’s impact on their communit and people!

Judit, our tour guide, did a great job. She had everything checked and double checked to make sure we did not miss out on any of our planned activities. She was highly organized, informative, and kind. We definitely will travel with Insight Vacations again. We did find some of the optional tours were expensive and basically added another $1000.00 to the tour. For example, the Walking Tour of Prague at Night was not near worth 51 Euro per person. The local guide was in a hurry, walked very fast and seemed to skim over the sights without really stopping to take in the sights. She even made a comment that it was getting dark and we needed to move it along - we signed up for a walking tour of Prague by night. It would have been nice to have our airport transfers included, even though we did our own air and flew in two days before the tour started, it would have been good customer service to include the transfers to a central point in Budapest and the same returning from Vienna. It was not as big an issue leaving from Vienna because of the direct service by the Cat Train to the airport from central station was rather easy to do. The NH Hotel in Berlin and the Hermitage Hotel in Prague were not up to the same caliber as the other hotels on the tour. The destinations on the tour were outstanding. To pick a city that was better than the other cities would be difficult to do. Budapest, Warsaw, Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Cesky Krumlov, and Vienna - what more could you ask for? All of these cities are phenomenal! Judit, our tour guide, did a great job. She had everything checked and double checked to make sure we did not miss out on any of our planned activities. We found some of the optional tours were expensive and basically added another $1000.00 to the tour. For example, the Walking Tour of Prague at Night was not nearly worth 51 Euro per person. The local guide was in a hurry, walked very fast and seemed to skim over the sights without really stopping to take them in. They always have very knowledgeable guides and wonderful drivers. Great itinerary. I saw things I thought I would never see, Poland, Dresden, and the bend in the river place. The amazing thing about Insight are the guides and the people you travel with. I have never had a fellow travel that I did not like. May only complaint were the included meals, I did not care for them.

The service was excellent and very professional. CS in Alberta took care of my questions and Tim made sure that all guests were well taken care of and that they were able to relax knowing that the myriad of issues associated with travel were handled appropriately. The tour offered a very good selection of European highlights and was exactly as advertised. The tour was seamlessly organized with wonderful accommodations, excursions and meals. The expert guides were very informative and our coordinator Tim was extremely knowledgeable and right on point with background information and relevant details. Our driver was excellent at maneuvering safely in the cities and highways and at all times, I felt comfortable. The excursions were well organized and very enjoyable.
