Surrounded by the Imbabura, Cotacachi, and Mojanda volcanoes, the vibrant and beautiful city of Otavalo is home to a large indigenous poulation and known for its handicrafts. Continue to the nearby town of Cotacachi to browse the leather market and craft shops before a delicious typical lunch at a local restaurant. Next head to the Peguche waterfalls or Cuicocha Lake before returning to Quito.

Very diverse, very delicious, very comfortable and very rich information wise tour. Very accommodating tour guide who would go above and beyond to make his guests feel most comfortable and also get to know the new places. A perfect way to see Ecuador Highlands, wander along the vibrant and colorful streets of Otavalo town, do some shopping of local handicrafts, taste the delicious and homemade local flavored meals in a family restaurant with an excellent mountain views.

I would have given it a 10 but the market area seemed very small. I heard it was all over the town but the guide told us to stay in that little square. I think my expectations were that it was huge. Saying that, I really got everything I wanted in that little square and had more than enough time. Beautiful place!
