This morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a city tour that combines walking and driving. Learn about the history of Santiago, founded in 1541 by the Spaniard Pedro de Valdivia and originally settled by the Picunche Indigenous people. The city has a turbulent history, marked by native wars, floods and earthquakes. You'll visit Plaza de Armas, home to the Royal Court Palace, the Natural History Museum and Central Post Office. Stroll through the streets and neighbourhoods around the Government Palace, then head to Cerro Santa Lucia – the hill where de Valdivia established the settlement. Today, it’s a park with fountains and a fort, offering one of the best views of the city. After, return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day as you wish. Maybe dine at one of the city's famous restaurants, where you can try ceviche (seafood dish) or pastel de choclo (meat corn casserole).

Overpriced & Underdelivered - don’t do it, I would never contemplate using Intrepid again & I would never recommend using the company to anybody.

The service that was provided surpass my expectations to the point I did not mind going on another alone trip. Knowing that the tour guide and advisor was responding to every question and made suggestions and advice.

The local tour guides are very knowledgeable and showed their enthusiasm. However on the downside, there is a breakdown for the communication from local tour operator. There is no information available for me, as details and times for the tour pick up. I had to make an effort and reach out…they also swapped the planed itinerary without any notice. It’s very unorganised.
